Nana and Dr. Danks came to Savannah for business earlier this week so the girls and I took the opportunity to drive up there and spend the afternoon with them on Tuesday. We had a great time walking down River Street and taking a ride on the Georgia Queen riverboat. We each got a hat for the summer and we picked up some pralines from River Street Sweets for Stephen. They are his favorite. I just wish he could have been there with us to try them warm! Then we headed back into town to a little ice cream/sandwhich shop called Leopald's for dinner. After a quick bite and some homemade ice cream, we dropped Nana back off at the restaurant where her group was having dinner and we headed home.
Did you know that Savannah is 12 miles up river? That's a long way!
The dining room on the boat was nice and cool!
River Street from the River
So many choices!
Do you see the cab of that transfer truck? That's a big boat!
