Hello from Elsie
It seems as thought all of my posts lately have been about Mary Grace, so let's talk a little about Elsie for a minute. She's as active and funny as ever. She's so smart, too! She can recall things that we did when she was just a little baby. Recently, she told me about the last time we went to St. Maarten. She remembers going on the airplane with Dr. Danks and Nana, the fact that we landed in one airport, had to change planes, and that Nana and Dr. Danks went on a different plane than we did from that second airport. She was only 18 months old then. If we've misplaced something at home, she usually knows where it is and will find it for us. She knows many numbers and letters. She's going to give her Daddy a run for his money one day!
She really enjoys going to tumble classes on Mondays and going to Mary Grace's soccer practices and games. She will be old enough in the Fall to play soccer and to take dance classes! So hard to believe!
She and Mary Grace love to play Happy Apple. She is either Mrs. Kolgaklis or Mrs. Albrecht and Mary Grace is Mrs. Green or Mrs. Lentz. They line up their dolls and stuffed animals and read to them.
She also really likes to change her clothes. Over and over and over again. Some days she will change three times between arriving home at 5:30 and dinner around 6:30. She goes straight up to her room when we get home, opens her dresser, selects an outfit and changes. Sometimes, she will go back upstairs and change again into a princess dress. That gets old after a while and she changes into pjs.
She loves to eat crackers. If I didn't insist otherwise, she would survive just on crackers and orange La Croix.
So there's a little Elsie update to even things out a bit.
Mary Grace Visits SMES
Mary Grace visited St. Marys Elementary School today with her Happy Apple class. I spoke with her teacher, Mrs. Lentz, and she said that all of the Green Apples had a great time. Mary Grace was able to tour the school and eat an early lunch there. She had pizza, corn, rice, and some pudding concoction that had a gummy worm in it. Jamie Oliver, if you're listening, we need a Food Revolution here, I think!

Never Say Never
I entered the lottery for the Nike Women's Marathon a couple of weeks ago. The drawing was this morning and I am in! The race is October 17th in San Francisco. Guess I'd better start training!

Field Trip!
Mary Grace's class is going on a field trip next week! They'll walk over to SMES to visit, see the new school, practice carrying their lunch trays, and eat lunch. Mary Grace will attend Kindergarden next year at SMES and she already has many friends at that school, so this will be a very exciting trip for her!
Easter
I'm a little behind on my blogging duties! Here are some photos from Easter weekend in Raleigh.

Girls
Impromptu photo session from yesterday afternoon. The girls dressed up in their princess dresses and danced around the driveway. So cute! I'm so thankful for these little moments with them.
The last photo is a shot of Mary Grace's abcessed tooth. She fell when we were on Hilton Head for New Years. We thought the tooth was going to be okay but it developed an infection this weekend. She's on antibiotics now and we go in on Wednesday to have it pulled. I'm just glad we had the last several months to get good photos of her with all her baby teeth!
