Stephen and I have the honor and privilege of meeting Justice Clarence Thomas tomorrow. He is a Georgia native and will be attending a reception for Judge Lisa Godbey Wood, a federal judge in our Southern District here in South Georgia who was an attorney with Stephen's firm prior to becoming the US attorney for the Southern District and then a federal judge. I am so excited that I don't know what to do. I really am OVER. THE. MOON. Go ahead, call me a dork or whatever. And, no, it doesn't have so much to do with the fact that he is conservative. I'm just so excited to meet a member of the highest Court in our land. There is so much mystique associated with the judiciary in general and especially with the justices of Supreme Court. They just don't seem to be people you might run into at WalMart or even in an airport somewhere. And here we are, going to meet him in little ol' South Georgia!
